Parent Night

Parents,

We will have a chili dinner on Thursday, November 8.  Come out and visit with us and have some delicious chili.  
Students are hard at work learning Spanish online with the Rosetta Stone Program.  

First Grading Period

The first grading period is in the books!  Congrats to all the students for their hard work and consistent effort this period.  Keep up the good work!

Language Arts
The students worked on finishing their interview narrative.  Paying close attention to using vivid descriptions and use of direct and indirect quotes.

Science
We wrapped up our Weather unit this week and began looking at the steps in the scientific method.

Social Studies
We wrapped up our Westward Expansion unit by discussing the consequences of land being taken away from the Native Americans.

Week of 9/23/12

Language Arts - Students began writing a personal narrative about the people they interviewed last week.

Science - Students continue to track weather data using our new weather station.

Social Studies - Sod house is complete.  Students will continue to explore the Westward Expansion.
